The Turkey Time Challenge
A “tasteful” competition
Plymouth Canton Schools
NHS High School Chapters
Goal To collect food items that will be packed into Christmas food boxes for The Salvation Army in Plymouth.
How
· A competition to be held between all NHS high school chapters to see which chapter can collect the most items (each item counts as 1).
· Boxes will be provided by The Salvation Army and labeled so items can be pre-sorted at collection site.
· Collected items will be delivered to The Salvation Army on December 16 after school.
· Pizza party on December 16 at The Salvation Army to sort and pack boxes
· List of items to be collected is listed below
When Collection will run December 1 through December 16
Items to be collected
Stuffing (boxes or bags)
Mashed potatoes (boxes or pouches)
Sweet potatoes/yams
Cranberries
Pumpkin pie filling
(other types of pie filling are fine too!)
Evaporated milk
(you need this for the pie filling)
Chicken broth
Green beans
Corn
Gravy
Macaroni & cheese
Canned fruit
Apple juice (cans or juice boxes)
Cereal
Rice
Cake mix and frosting
Peanut butter
Jelly or jam
